When John Grogan tries to get his wife out the idea of having babies he buys her a messy, pesty lab. This dog cause all types of havoc. He gos in the water, eats everything, and never walks always runs, and he does a few things my dog does. When Jenny, his wife, get pregnant things get a little messier. The second time she does she quits her job, having to take care of the kids. When number three comes Marley is finally the worlds worst dog. When John gets a job for The Philadelphia Inquirer they move to the country. Marley is getting old and when his body takes a turn for the worse everything goes wrong, two times Marley's stomach gives out. On his death bed John tells the vet...
" This cant happen. He is not a dog. One time he ate the answering machine, then went and had he phone for desert. And he can chew threw drywall."
With nothing to do they give him medicine for a quick and painless death. The family barries him in the front lawn. The movie ends with John leaving Marley's grave.
